Photographer's Note
Another Musk Lorikeet feeding on a yellow flowering gum in Yarra Bend Park. They only visit YBP in Autumn when these trees are flowering.
They are small quick moving birds. Difficult to photograph as they are often up in the tree tops.

Hello Steve,
What a marvellously "designed" bird, like a living piece of abstract art. Considering the difficulties you describe you were really lucky to capture one in such a sharp and well illuminated photo. And it's so perfectly placed in a beautiful environment.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Stephen,
I like how this lorikeet looks at you. Wonderful palette on those feathers: Green, red, blue and yellow. Focus is perfect. Also those flowers are pretty well visible.

hello Stephen,
From your notes, this was not an easy bird to photograph (are any of them!).
This is an excellent shot!
I like how the bird is looking at you quizzically!
The details of colours, patterns and textures of the plumage are beautifully shown and you have managed to get a catchlight in the bird's eye.
The photograph is very well composed, the lorikeet off-centre, whilst the b/g gives a good sense of place.
Keep safe,
Bev :-)
