Photographer's Note
Most people in the northern hemisphere are preparing for a long and difficult winter, so here is a spring photo from Melbourne to cheer you up. Here in Melbourne we are coming out of a long lockdown. The state of Victoria has had no covid-19 cases for 28 days now, and has no active cases, so we are free of the virus, for now.
The photo was taken in Fitzroy Gardens, near the city centre. The tall red flowers are Gymea lilies. They grow naturally around Sydney, but have been planted in some public gardens in Melbourne. They grow to about 3 metres tall.

Hello Vincent,
Cheers for the Covid-free situation, now you may enjoy the beautiful spring time as we see this park in the city. A green lung that is so importent to urban life.
Saw the park on Google-map, took a virtual tour on the trails - a real charming "stroll". Location on its center is at -37.813, 144.98 on the map.
Have a nice friday,
Ike

Hi Vince
A like your "for now" caution. Lets hope it stays away. Looks like this was taken while the lockdown was still on. We've got our first Melbourne visitors coming through soon. An excellent photo of the gardens with the city line background.
cheers

Hello Vincent,
A beautiful view of the city in a bright and clear sunlight. I really like the combination of the park and the many high-rise buildings in the background. A nice contrast also in terms of blue and green colours.

Hello Vincent,
You have certainly put your style on this photograph; it really shows the power of the photographer!
I know photographers who would just have concentrated on the buildings and given quite a different impression of the city! You have used the flowers to great effect, to soften the rigidity of the skyscrapers and create an impression of a garden orientated city.
Fine exposure and rich colours.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Vincent,
everything is upside down here in the north: not only instead of the spring we have autumn but also we have high number of covid cases, and ironically places which had no cases before suffer most. People who denied even existence of the virus have now no problem indication family members or friends who got sick.
This is a wonderful springtime photo. The colors are stunning, so lush green vegetation. It goes well with the blue sky as well and we have also some modern architecture in between. It looks like a very green city indeed.
Excellent capture,
M

Hello Vincent,
Congratulations to all Victorians who made the effort to comply with the heavy handed restrictions imposed on everyone down there. The end result was worth it. NOW the economy can take precedence once more. Hope you had a couple of donuts to celebrate. A lovely Spring scene from the gardens. That high-rise bg building with the many box rectangles / squares in the design is eye-catching. Tfs!

Hi Vincent.
These tall buildings look ideal in this POV, where the protagonists are the beautiful plants of this garden, these yellow flowering pinnacles and the three tall poles with the red plume at the end are fantastic.
Very nice coloring, in some very attractive tones.
All the best and have a good start to the week.
Luis.

Hello Vincent
From the closest green leaf up to the distant antennas atop the buildings, we don't loose a single pixel in the fuzziness and quite significant is the lovely verdant near field muffling the city commotion for a paradoxical spectacular view!
Hava g'day.

Hello Vincent, a cheering picture, as it is cold and damp in the UK.
A good viewpoint with the skyscrapers making an alternative focal point from the beautiful flowers.
It looks even better in the large version.
Lovely colours.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hello Vincent,
This is a nice combination of nature and modern architecture. I like how the skyscrapers are peeking out above the greenery. Very nice colors and lighting, too. Take care!
