Photographer's Note
On the seaward side of the Remarkables on Kangaroo Island the rocks plunge down almost vertically to the ocean below. At this spot there are 2 massive groves in the rocks that look just like some massive vehicle has been dragged up the rocks (very hard granite) and creating the grooves. The red is from lichens on the rocks.

The mystery remains unsolved, but the image is very nice!

Hello Ian - What a cracking shot. A really creative look at a landscape detail. Very nice lead in lines give the composition strength. Colours are superb, I love the contrast of rich red-orange with the deep blue. I'll show my husband this one - he's a geologist so maybe he can shed some light on those grooves. Super! Have a good weekend Rosemary

Hello Ian
I really like the contrasting colours of the lichen on the rocks and the blue of the ocean, a most interesting low perspective, sharp as and great depth of field.
The grooves may have been caused by lava flow but my guess is that it was scoured out by an ancient glazier's movement down the mountain.
Well captured. TFS
Cheers Peter

Hello Ian
Nice warm cold colour contrasts between the rust red soil & the bg blue sea. Good sharpness & the gullies add superb perspective & lead in lines. Nice downward pov towards the sea. Have a nice week!

Hi Ian,
very intriguing composition. Great geometry and interesting colors. It looks indeed like an old road which disappears in the water. Ancient amphibian cars?

Hello Ian,
I love the dramatic plunging perspective and the intensity of the colors of this composition. Its minimalism is even enhanced by the pano format. Superb shot.
