Photographer's Note
A short 30 minute flight from Adelaide brings you to Kangaroo Island, a place rich with farms, rolling hills, beautiful coastal views, animals in the wild, and incredible rock formations. The Remarkables are the weathered remains of a collapsed basalt dome - one that started out 500 million years ago much like Ayers Rock but fell apart and eroded into gigantic formations like this one. It's part of Flinders Chase National Park on the West end of the Island.
