A scene in Queen Victoria Gardens, one of Melbourne's many parks. The backlit leaves and purple flowers caught my attention. This photo was taken in April this year, before Melbourne's current lockdown. Ah yes, those were the days!

Hello Vincent, the backlit leaves really catch the eye, and with the tree trunks in shadow they seem to stand out even more. I love the way that the sun is shining on the purple flowers too making a strong contrast with the autumn colours of the leaves.

A really nice view of this park in autumn. The colours are very appealing, a nice mix of the autumn leaves and the purple sea at the feet of the mountains. Fine lighting also.

Are the purple flowers lavender? The flowers look the part but no the foliage.

I find it quite amusing ... I'm not talking about the photo , in fact the photo is superb , amazing green with a stunning touch of bright purple and fallen leaves ... the autumnal colour leaves still dangling from the branches. It's so appealing to look at.
OK ... the amusing part is that, the seasons.
In April , you've 'Autumn' and I've 'Spring' :-)
It's a funny old world, don't you think?
