Mining towns in Australia have always had a strong trade union base and Broken Hill is no different. The union movement was so strong in Broken Hill that they built their won headquarters, this building - the Trades Hall. It was started in 1898 and is now heritage listed.
Another strong feature of Broken Hill is all the pubs scattered around town, most of them on corners and many of them quite large. In the WS are 2 examples.

Hello Ian
A beautiful view of this magnificent architecture. A strong trade union is a sign of strong thinking in society. A beautiful view of the pubs in the workshop, they are each an independent photo. Clarity and lighting done well.

Lepa zgrada i detalji na fasadi, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa belim oblacima na plavom nebu.

Hello Ian,
I almost thought you had suddenly made a detour to France. I didn't expect a building like this in an Australian mining town, but it's quite magnificent, even though the pubs would be nicer places to visit.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Ian,
The trees are framing well the building. The point of view is showing a double perspective of the architecture of the Trade Hall building. The light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hi Ian,this building is in the world heritage site, but the 2 pubs in the WS too are a great example of old architechture and very well preserved, useful post as usual from Broken Hill, a place with a lot of witness of its history still well preserved. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Ian,
A really beautiful building with lots of fine details and it is still in perfect condition. I really like the play of light and shadows thanks to the pleasant and warm sidelight and the good angle of shooting you chose.

Hello Ian,
This is a very handsome building, and it definitely deserves a photo. It's nice that you could capture two sides, without any obstructions. The pubs in the WS photos are interesting, too. Take care!

Hello Ian, Very elegant building. And the street is quite empty like in corona times. Delightful presentation.

Hi Ian,
Great collection of elegant houses, the main upload showing the richest one.
Very interesting style which seems quite unique.
Side light emphasizes well the details of the decorative facade.
Excellent work,

Hi Ian
Looks like a smaller version of the old Qld Parliament House, which also has a strong French architectural influence. Good angled pov and sharpness. Tfs!

Hello Ian,
The main entry and the Duke of Cornwall Pub photo could be from Europe, but the other Broken Hill Pub could be either from Australia or the US. Three nice building in three fine photos.

Hello Ian.
In view of this magnificent building and the two great Pubs, which you show in the WS, this city had an enormous mining activity in the past.
Magnificent POV, with great sharpness, lighting and color.
Well done; have a happy Sunday.
Best regards.
Luis.

Hello Ian,
A magnificent picture of this imposing building, English styled architecture.
Found the exact corner from where taken this picture, -31.9583, 141.4627 on the map - than took a virtual tour around, realized it is the most notable edifice there.
My best regards,
Ike

Hello Ian,
This beautiful building reminded me of the buildings introduced to city centres in England and sponsored by the newly rich business men, who often owned mills or mines! It could easily be mistaken for an English building!
You have shown all the buildings with excellent clarity, seen at their best in the large format!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
