This is in ways a strange mural to be found in the mining city of Broken Hill. In the early days of Broken Hill much of the mine and city needs were brought by camel looked after by "Afghans" who mostly weren't Afghans but actually mainly Pakistanis.
The mural shows a camel train , an aboriginal, in the background a dervish and on the left the strange part - The Ghan train. The Ghan train doesn't run through Broken Hill - it runs from Adelaide to Darwin.
In the WS is a photo taken in the lane behind the building with the mural.
