Recap: We'd gone out to Fowlers Gap a day early to avoid the rain and road closures. Day 1 showed the dry creek bed.
Now: day 2 and just the morning today because this was the most dramatic day.
Over night heavy rain came down. When we arose in the morning this was the scene from right outside the cottage. The creek was about 50 metres wide. In a few hours it went from nothing to this.
In the WS are a wide angle photo take from roughly the same spot and another looking upstream past the cottage.

Hello Ian
A beautiful view of this creek, which is full of water thanks to seasonal rain. The color of the leaves of the trees indicates the freshness of spring. The facade of the workshop is well shown.

Hello Ian
A good capture of the flash flooding in this outback creek. Good even, diffused light and excellent sharpness. I like the subtle reflection of the sky in the water. Tfs!

Pozdrav, opet smo komsije sa fotografijam na TE.
Interesantan pogled, opasan trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Velika voda i drvece, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.
Dobar rad sa fotografijama u radionici.
Posle velikih kisa reke su mnogo opasne i znaju da naprave velike sterte.
Zelim vam sve najbolje.

Hello Ian,
What an adventure! It looks very dramatic but beautiful in the same time. Fantastic view of these gum trees in brown waters. Difficult to beleive that such a change ocurred in just one night.
On the other hand, I experienced something similar in Petra. Just after an hour or so of the heavy rainpour the small creek became quite a river and the tourists had to be evacuated - by truck or through the mountain excorted by police on camels. I loved my adventure.
Best regards MAlgo

Hello Ian,
It's good to see that your cottage was quite safe in spite of the downpour. From this angle it looks very dramatic. Nature arranged an attractive composition with fine colours.
Best regards,

Hi Ian,
There is a big change from the previous day. The point of view is showing the details of the creek and of the trees. I am wondering how long the water will stay? Have a nice day.

Hi Ian,
We had some heavy trainfsall recently in Yorkshire but somehow it quickly drained so no flooding. This looks quite photogenic even though it may have its dangers. I hope you didn't have to walk in the water to take these photos.
In Australia I suppose you may be surprised by crocodiles...
The color of the water makes it really interesting,

Hi Ian,definitely a bad awakening, difficult to move in these conditions so surely you stayed in the cottage waiting for better times, 3 beautiful photos that perfectly show the big change compared to yesterday's photos. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Ian,
Is this the same location you showed in the main entry in your previous post? What a difference a little rain can make! I am curious to find out how long the the creek flowed after the rains.
Regards,
MT

Hello Ian,
This would be the "best' flood picture on the series.
Color of the water, the stream and the good light upon the place, all well rendered on this one.
Good afternpoon,
Ike

ian
we can see as the rain can produce these fast floods. I presume the water go away almost so fast as they arrived. excellent view.
