Wandering around Aotea Markets in Auckland City yesterday, I came across these coins for sale. Most of them are of Zealand痴 old currency of Pounds, shillings and pence, which went out in 1967.

Looking at the photo today I decided to see what the Exchange Rate is for NZ Dollars with ther countries.

we are cruising the Treks at the same time tonight. Good time to buy Euros for us. Interesting image, great clarity and awash with shades of bronze.

Hi Janice!
This picture really takes me down the memory lane. I recall using coins such as these for nearly ten years after India turned independent in 1947. As a little boy, I was particularly fond of the one with a hole in it!

Fun image, Janice! The light from the top is an interesting and a good choice for this image. It gives the coins a kind of special glow. Nice work!

I like this kind of pictures. Macros from old flea markets full of antique things. I love old flea markets and to seek and to buy nedless but interesting things ;-) Coins looks great, copper and nickel, birds and people ;-) Amazing patchwork.
