Mt Cook is New Zealand's highest mountain at 3724 metres. On our first visit to the Mt Cook area in 2000 we did not see Mt Cook because the cloud/fog was down to our waists most of the time.
The peak in this photo is not Mt Cook.
We walked to the base of Mt Cook, this time on a glorious sunny day. Today's photos were taken on that walk. The main one is of a stream that we crossed with the stream having that beautiful blue from melting ice.
The WS photo shows a tarn (a glacial lake).
