3200 + 9 and 11 years + a week, a photo from Otago, South Island

Photographer's Note

When we came to Queenstown from Franz Josef Glacier it was already an early evening. The next day we had a whole day, long trip to Milford Sound. And after also a long trip to Christchurch. So, we had rather little time in Queenstown for sightseeing and also not many opportunities for pictures. Pity because Queenstown is imho the most beautiful town in New Zealand.

This is nothing special view of the evening activities in Queenstown. In the evening the light was pleasant but poor.

I haven't noticed that I missed my anniversary on 24th August - 11 years on TE. And the next milestone - it is my 3209 photo. In fact, I posted much more pictures, I show often Workshops.

Hello Malgo,
This photo shows how very nice a "nothing special" can be. There is a very pleasant atmosphere among the people walking along the water or sitting on the steps as the sun is going down. Water, boats, ducks, people, lovely trees, nice diagonals, a hilly background, fine reflections in the water. There's even a good balance following the rule of thirds. I like it.

Hi Malgo,
Congratulations on your 11th anniversary and the incredible number of photos posted. Like you, as you know, I post a lot of WS, but I am in no way as prolific as you are, nor have I seen as many countries ! Well done !
Christchurch looks a pleasant town indeed. I like the atmosphere given by your capture. Lovely weeping willow by the steps going down to the pond.
Very relaxed atmosphere as the attitude of the people testify.
It must be great living on the slopes of that hill.

Hello Malgo

I spent a week in Queenstown and it has a lot to offer. The Shotover jet boat, Skippers Canyon, The gondola to the skyline restaurant and cruises on the lake. It gives you an excuse to come back to NZ one day! Reminds me a little of Bergen or Trondheim! Don't know why. Maybe the boats, light, trees changing color to Autumn tones? Tfs!

A city with much green and nice river with a big stairway.
Nice daily life picture with the busy moment on the street.
In background the city on the slope is a nice addition..
Nice composition good presentation too.
Excellent panorama view about this area.

Ever considered cropping the picture just a little bit on the left? For the rest it is perfect.
The long lines of the stairs lead us well further into the panorama.
Beautiful with the houses built on the forested slope and with the colourful clouds in the right upper corner.
A lively photo with a pleasant atmosphere.

Gratulacje z okazji 11 lecia na TE, az sprawdzilem, ze zarejestrowalem sie tu przez Toba troche wczesniej. Ale ja nie pokazuje tylu wspanialych miejsc i jakby czasu na odroze ciut mniej... albo mam monotematyczny ich kierunek.
