Photographer's Note

I was visiting Mar del Plata when I found lots of old cars racing on a secondary street at ocean front. I shoot some cars like This one, but soon the sunset create some difficulties to shot race cars, so I had to try something different. Here is the result, with a little bit of panning. I enhance the colours of the sky with a little bit extra saturation because the dark subject was too sad without it.

As all your photos, this one is decently centred, worked and extremely been looked.

Colors are extraordinary and the front of the car contrasts with its movement and the vagueness which results from it.

Hi Jose,
For me panning is easy, but in almost total darkness, well that's a complete different story. Hard to see the panning here, but i see a lot of blur movement in the background and in combination with the darkness it looks a bit mytical, but how i love that red from the car. The hood is really shining, but also the light in the sky looks damn good.

Another wonderful picture in your gallery, this really looks amazing. What a great panning picture, this must have been really difficult, especially because it was in almost total darkness. The blur movement in the background is wonderul and the lights of the car are perfectly sharp. The colors of the sky are great, too and I like the contrast a lot. This picture is really artistic, I have never seen any composition like this before, really really wonderful!

This is a very unusual and extraordinary photo. I love the atmosphere created by the sunset colours. Panning in the dark can't be easy, yet the background is nicely blurred while the front of the car is perfectly sharp. You also placed the car well in the frame so it has some space infront of it. Well done

Hi Jose,
yes, panning! One of my favorite techniques, I`m quite familiar with that tecnique and I think I`m pretty good at it, but I have never done such a shot, never when it was already dark. I am very impressed man, you handled it very good, the sunset colors in the background and the panned car look wonderful. Once again a great job, like all of your images. I closely study your exposure and try to learn from that one, great shot!

This is truly different with a strange sad beauty, and I really like that you can clearly see the lamps of the car and that the rest remains a "secret", taken in by the night that slowly moves in. Uma foto realmente diferente, algo que se reflete tamb駑 nos coment疵ios, j� bem completos. Seu sentimento de fotrafo aqui foi fundamental para arrancar uma foto impressionante de uma condi鈬o extremamente dif兤il de ilumina鈬o, com uma ajudinha no pp, claro... N縊 � uma foto panning estilo Henk, l匇pida, perfeitamente iluminada, etc. Mas � uma que tem estilo, e como... O foco bem delimitado aos fars do carro, cheio de 菟ersonalidade�, rasgando no lusco-fusco rosa, desfocado, b鹵ado, portenho..., ficou bem peculiar. S� n縊 gostei muito do poste desfocado � direita. Nessa condi鈬o, vira artefato, elemento dispersivo, mas � de somenos.

A fine atmosphere with wonderful colours, fine effect from special exposure...

very interesting work, Zeca. I know nothing about the panning, but I imagine that in the darkness it's even more difficult. but the result is definitely worth the effort, I like a lot the hell-is feeling to the scene. the colour in the sky is great, and creates a striking contrast with the dark lower part of the photo. fascinating shot, my compliments.

essa imagem esta simplesmente demais. A sua iamginacao e paciencia realmente nao conhece limites. A visao esta perfeita. Voce sabe que eu sempre encontro um pouco de algo que poderia ser diferente, ne? Pois aqui creio que um clone no mastro e naquele outro treco a esquerda para limpar o ceu teria sido a minha contribuicao ;-)
