APOSTLES AT NIGHT, a photo from Distrito Federal, Center-West

Photographer's Note

My private nocturne tour visited the cathedral too. Here you can see the statues of the apostles exposed at side of the way that goes to the subterranean entrance of the cathedral. Only John is located at right, because his texts have exclusive details, the other three are at left, because their texts are part of the synoptic gospel. These statues were created by Alfredo Ceschiatti and Dante Croce, the same who created the angels inside.
The building at left in the Baptistery, as I told you before, it looks like a bread, the cathedral as the hands and the bell tower, not visible here, as the cup.

Meu passeio noturno passou pela catedral tamb駑.
Vemos aqui as est疸uas dos aptolos dispostos nas laterais do caminho que vai dar � entrada subterr穗ea da igreja. Reparem que S縊 Jo縊 est� � direita, pois o Evangelho escrito por ele tem detalhes exclusivos enquanto os outros tr黌 s縊 os criadores dos evangelhos sinticos. Essas est疸uas foram criadas por Alfredo Ceschiatti e Dante Croce, os mesmos que criaram os anjos da catedral.
Reparem que na foto aparece o batist駻io � esquerda, na forma de um p縊, a catedral lembra o formato de m縊s oferecendo algo aos c騏s e o campan疵io, n縊 vis咩el nessa foto, lembra um c疝ice.
Tirei esta foto da janela do carro.

Hello Jorge,
I think the baptistery looks more like a UFO, a flying saucer, but I recognize the cathedral. The illuminated apostles look rather ghostlike, but you exposed this well in the darkness.

The bright lighting is giving charm top the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the of the cathedral. The surrounding light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Jorge,
The famous cathedral looks amazing here. It is so sharp and you handled the bright illuminations so well, avoiding overexposure skilfully and making it stand out very well from the dark sky. The sculptures are well included in the foreground as well.

Hello Jorge,
I see the four apostles but it is the cathedral that demands all the attention in this night photo.
As I mentioned before, the building resembles a gigantic crown.

Hello Jorge,

These features are excellent to use as subjects for night photography, with their silvery illumination!
I like your chosen viewpoint, with guide lines directing us to the cathedral and apostles. The subjects stand out clearly against the dark sky, with the cross nicely situated on the thirds lines.

Hi Jorge,
Great night tour. I must mention of course as always that blue hour would probably be the most impressive but I see you spend a big chunk of the night traveling between places so you wouldn't be able to be everywhere at the blue hour. Great shot from the car, maybe it is a good way to manage several night shots in a limited time. Set up a tripod in the car and drive to nice spots. I suppose it limits the compositions options but the composition seems optimal here.
