Tropical Mockingbird, a photo from Bahia, Northeast

Photographer's Note

Just one more bird from my last trip to Bahia, this tropical mockingbird (Mimus gilvus) landed right in front of me, in the hotel pool area, so I could not resist. Present on the entire Brazilian coast, and only on the coast, it is another excellent imitator of the call of other birds.

Hello Alexandre,
What a beautiful bird and you captured it so well against a blurry background. The bird itself is so sharp. Its tiny claws are also clearly seen around the wire.

It's a pleasure to see one of your beautiful birds again. This mockingbird is not very bright, but it is still very pretty and it's sitting perfectly on the thin wire. Again you managed a perfect soft light and made the background sufficiently blurred and neutral.

Ola Alexandre So this friend of yours is quite talented as an impersonator! Given the very blurred decor, hand on heart I can say you used a 300mm focal at F4; unless it was perched close to you! A wonderful image of a fascinating bird, I have never seen a mockingbird. Lovely detail and nice bit of catch light in the eye and it has some lovely markings with fantastic colours,

This tropical mockingbird resembles a sparrow. Perfect us of a shallow dof with good sharpness on the bird. The neutral uncluttered bg helps th fg bird to stand out. Tfs!

por aqui um frio de lascar, ontem fez 1,5 negativo, hj 2 positivos, mas o vento piorou a situa鈬o.

Another pin-sharp capture of one of the local birds.

It's really sharp, set against this oof b/g.
WE can positively see the plumage, its features and how it clings to the wire perch.

Que bien has captado a este peque pajarillo, el difuso fondo en varios tonos de color, hace que el pajaro resalte como en 3D, se le ve muy atento a lo que ocurre en derredor.
