FIXING THE ROOF, a photo from Parana, South

Being under the hard sun of September (winter yet), it is hard and the job of these masons isn't easy.
The old roof was being fixed, they added a thermal mantle to prevent intense heat and rain and are covering the roof with new tiles of ceramic.
In these last decades the tiles made of asbestos were prohibited around the world, but they are used here yet, despite the supreme Justice court of Brazil have prohibited them in 2017, as in other legal aspects, our law permits many new chances to the criminals and these gaps are used by the attorneys and because this the use of the law is being delayed. You can see an old roof of asbestos in the upper part of the image.

Hello Jorge,
This is the nice category of "Men at work", and it almost fits the theme of Street Photos too. Furthermore the tiles create a nice pattern, so there are several reasons for me to like this photo.

Hi Jorge,
Indeed the asbestos is banned in the UK and even removal of the old asbestos insulations has to be performed by highly qualified personel. I think the places which have it can keep it if you don't touch it basically. I am not sure whether there is a time limit by when it is supposed to be removed.
Nice capture of the two man at work, and a work at heights.

Interesante escena con los trabajadores. Su trabajo es peligroso. ｿPor qu� no hay medidas de seguridad? Prefiero los azulejos que fueron antes. Estos son nuevos pero no tan hermosos. Vos deseo un feliz a nuevo, lleno de alegr僘 y viajes lejanos.

I like these red tiles on roofs. I hope they are extra careful when they replace tiles with asbestos.
