Photographer's Note
Ramphastos toco.
This tucan (tucano) belongs to the Pantanal region, though I met him at the Parque das Aves (Bird Park) in Foz, many kilometers away, in a very big cage, where it's possible to be very close to the birds, as this picture shows.
It was not exactly a sunny day that day, and it was something like 5pm, so light wasn't much available.
By the way, when I visited the Panatanal, and I stayed there 3 days in the middle of the swamp (so to speak), I saw no tucans.
After the photo it flew away. Not so far, of course.
Some adjustments in PS, like USM.

It's realy a shame Jurgen, the composition and the colours and the dof are perfect. But one point,it's not sharp, and realy that's a shame, otherwise it was perfect, also still a good shot

Lindo pajaro el Tucan! Pero me parece que esta un poco sobresaturado y le falta un poco de definicion, un sharpen le hubiera caido muy bien . Pero de todos modos es un buen motivo, la profundidad de campo esta bien seleccionada tambien. Me gusta, felicitaciones!

Ilike the way you look at nature Jurgen, your photos show that. as an animal-lover ( an ordinary one !) I chose this shot, like carper, I'd much more appreciated it if it was sharp !
