The Nossa Senhora da Lapa Church was built between 1763 and 1806. In white and yellow, it was built in colonial architecture, with baroque inspiration. It has two towers, each with its bell. The Nossa Senhora da Lapa Church and all its surroundings are considered Cultural Preservation Area.

The Church is located in the District of Ribeir縊 da Ilha, located 22 kilometers from the center of the city, towards the south of the island. This neighborhood was the second colony to be developed in Florianolis.
