Photographer's Note
i woke up at 6am this morning. I am in a middle of a hurricane, struggling with tech texts and a tight deadline, as usually. 14 hours a day looking to a screen and tipying is not exactly healthy, I know. So, today I gave myself a half-an-hour-break and headed to the supermarket.
There is this construction site less than 100m from my place. I stopped, looking around. When she saw me, a lady stopped and asked me(!!) what was going on, and we began to talk about what it could be. With the cam in my hand i leaned and took a look to that HUGE hole right in front of me. I aimed the cam and a second later he looked above (ok, not to me, he was waiting for a cement load).
When he saw the cam I caught the very first smile from a stranger. :))
I felt I made a step ahead. now itエs a matter of learning how to control the cam :))

Ol Isabel,
タs vezes a gente n縊 se lembra desta parafern疝ia subterr穗ea e que faz a cidade funcionar: cabos, dutos, canos, mil conexes. ノ um mundo masculino que voc invadiu. O sorriso dele tem muitos significados. Boa captura.
Abra輟s,

Oi Isabel!
What a great smile, and that was for YOU indeed and what a nice PoV. You nailed him so vety nice between the side of the hole and the blurred piece of metal!I like the criss-cross of lines, but the lines and the corners above the door are even nicer, somehow my eye is drawn to these blue marks all the time.
Beijoo!

Very well composed. The man's face covers but a minor porportion of the total area of the frame and yet our eyes go there immediately.

Boa foto, s縊 pessoas que trabalham em lugares horrveis e ningu駑 da valor algum e nem se quer v. Mas a alegria que o sorriso deste homem da, nos da um incentivo para continuar lutando. Boas cores e nitidez. Parab駭s Isabel...

You really had to dig DEEP for this one, chere Isabel...;o)!
But it was worth it. Simply another incredibly innovative shot from you, where most of us would walk on by...or fal through, you find a pearl.
Brilliant, what can I say? Don't work too hard and don't be a stranger...
Love,
Francis

The power of the detail, sometines the tiniest thing could change the path of history... Ok, this is a photo so no need to talk in capital letters... Nevertheless this smile is so powerful that has the force to change the meaning of a photo, in fact I would say heエs rather aware of his charming. Obrigado Isabelle.
PS: Empty basket.

It took me a while to open this one but thanks to your helpful title, I did! It's great... I love your framing here. Your photos are so distinctive -- this one is a classic example.
Good luck with the work-hurricane!

I like this Isabelle - I like the sheer weight/depth of concrete and pipes and wire etc before we get to that smile at the bottom - my eye is also drawn to the blue marks and my first thought was to link them to the framing marks within an old point and shoot camera - so for me there is a little photographers 'in-joke' in this image - you would line up your loved ones within the frame and shout 'smile!'
best wishes Kev
