FELIZ 2009 PARA TODOS OS AMIGOS AQUI DO TREK EARTH - HAPPY 2009 TO YOU ALL MY FRIENDS HERE AT TREK EARTH - This picture was also taken by the RODOVIA RAPOSO TAVARES (Raposo Tavares Road), in the municipality of ITAﾍ. It's the gate of a farm (couldn't find its name). The waters one can see in the background is a reservoir called "REPRESA DE JURUMIRIM" (JURUMIRIM RESERVOIR) formed by the Dam of a Hidroelectric Power Plant in the RIO PARANAPANEMA (PARAPANEMA RIVER). The reservoir has an area of 449 square km (it's around 100km long and sometimes it's more than 3km wide).

I posted this picture today as a SYMBOL for the new year, where we all surely open a new gate in our lives and we all find beautiful times ahead of us!

Symbolic indeed as we look over the gate to the New Year. Will you go and open it at midnight? ;D Well composed image where the track leads the eye all the way to the reservoir in the distance.
