Photographer's Note

Both Elio and Carmem seem to be very busy to upload the fabulous weekend we had at Torres (RS) for the International Air Balloon Festival. Thus, I continue to upload my humble contribution to the theme :)

We all received credentials that allowed us to enter the field where the ballons were released, hence the close captions.

It takes less than 5 minutes to open the bag, stretch the balloon, inflate it and warm it up and let it fly with the wind. To photograph the process is less easy than it appears to be, mostly when you have 20, 25 balloons around: youｴll never have the same composition for more than 1 second...

In the WS, the same ballon seen from the opposite angle. Enjoy!

Nice presentation.

I like the WS better for the bright light and clarity, although this one can be great if the filtered light is stronger IMO, to make a silhouette out of the view.

If I am to do a workshop, I would do with a bit of cropping off the bottom and crop the top to where that curve ring is reached over the man's head, and then adjust the levels and brightness.

lindo grafismo, vc usou bema s linhas e a silueta do sujeito, penso que se ele estivesse um pouquinho mais afastado do arco grosso a compo teria ficado ainda mais bonita do que j� �

A wonderful juxtaposition of man and his technology. The silhouette works very well with the radials keeping the sublte and well rendered blue texture together. Xcellent !

Ol� Isabel, how are you? Very nice graphical piece from the balloon festival, with the figure well positioned to the right of the frame, and a good "spider-web" impression resulting from the balloon being inflated. Interesting blueish monochromality. Take care.

Linda foto Isabel, quando vi a miniatura achei que fosse uma roda-gigante.
As astes do bal縊 ficaram imas, como os baloeiros transportam esses "seres" voadores?

Que bela imagem, Isabel! Grafismo bonito, silhuetas interessantes! Dava para ter limpado este cabo em diagonal no primeiro plano, mas nem ele atrapalha a bela captura! Legal mesmo! Um dia eu ainda v nessa coisa..
