Photographer's Note

What called my attention and made me push the release button was the flag in the black sands of Praia Preta (Black Beach) in Ilha Grande.

During the period of military govern in Brazil, it was strictly forbidden to use it for other purposes than "patriotic" ones. Nowadays, as you can see, itｴs used in different moments of life. Young women wear it as sarongs and lay on it while at the beach.

Hi Isabel , I like this unseen through the bushes approach,it reminds one of a evidence gathering, the kind used by privates detectives ,however i doubt if these girl have much to hide.The Brazilian flag is used by the makers of a brand flip- flops the ones i see in the UK anyway, it appears on the strap.Enjoy the celebrations .Thanks Tom.

essa aqui � bem no seu estilo. Gostei da inclus縊 dessas folhas e galhos desfocados. Eles d縊 um tom meio de voerismo interessante. A bandeira verde e amarela tamb駑 fica como um belo ponto focal...al駑 das meninas, � claro. Belo registro!

O ar paparazzi ficou algo humor﨎tico. Como ilustra鈬o da nota, � uma foto bem representativa (se bem que young women wearing it as sarongs tamb駑 seria interessante, especialmente para homens ;-)
O link tem muita informa鈬o (assim como a vers縊 em portugu黌). Em Flags Of The World tamb駑 h� boas informa鋏es, mas quase s� em ingl黌.
