Photographer's Note

In every one of the four nights I spent in the Pantanal, I decided to wake up before sunrise, not only for watching this spectacle of nature, but also to see dozens of animals, especially birds, that are more active at this time of the day. This is my 400th photo here on TE, that shows the Pantanal sunrise from a lookout point at the hotel with a view to the Cuiab� River.

Managerd well with the sun in beautiful orange and first rays over the river shown through the trees.
Light and shadows handled fairly good at that morning hour picture.

Hello Alex,

Congratulations on your 400 pictures on TE. It is quite a modest number, I hope that many will follow.
It is much easier to wait till sunset that to get up very early to see the sunrise. But it is well worth doing. beautiful picture, I like the quiet mood very much.

Congratulations on your little jubilee. It seems that 400 is just the beginning of a long journey. ;-)
This is a photo of stunning colours and light, and it's easy to imagine the exciting atmosphere at this time of the day, with so much wildlife surrounding you and probably a lot of exotic sounds. The perfect sharpness is evident from that part where we see the water through the screen of trees. It's like looking at the finest lace.

The atmosphere of this moment is fantastic, i remember my wake-up after sleeping in a tent in Kenya,so i understand the emotions of this moment and the great opportunity to see the first animals. The sunrise was well worth getting up early for. The pastel colours of the first rays of the sun and the slight fog over the tree tops are beautiful. Very well captured and congratulations on your 400th photo.

Congratulation with your nr. 400 on TE.
Most TE members prefer a sunset over a sunrise. They are probably hard to get out of their beds. But if we see this result, it is certainly worth it to get up early too.

Hi Alexandre,
breath taking view indeed. Sunrises have something mystical in them.
Great point of view allowed you to take this view from an elevated perspective.
I like very much the colors of the sky and the vegetation provides some dark silhouettes here for contrast.
Congratulation on the round number of photos,wonderful contribution to the TrekEarth especially that the site is probably dominated by Europeans and in Europe we don't know much about Brazil.

I like the incredible clarity of the view and the well preserved round shape of the sun.

Mis felicitaciones por esas 400 foto en tu galeria que nos hacen disfrutar de maravillosos lugares, como con esta preciosa puesta de sol, con la oscuridad del abundante arbolado y un claro cielo al cual el sol da una preciosa tonalidad amarillo-anaranjado.
Una buena gestion, tanto de la luminosidad, como de la nitidez.

eu dormi por duas noites dentro do mato no pantanal, n縊 consegui dormir direito, era em rede e a noite aparece tudo quanto barulho de bicho e no amanhecer era uma explos縊 de ru冝os. isso pra n縊 mencionar os gringos ca軋ndo criaturas noturnas ao redor das nossas redes, usando lanternas.
