Balloon Flight, a photo from Minas Gerais, Southeast

Photographer's Note

I was in search of some birds at the hotel I stayed in the city of S縊 Louren輟, some of which can be seen in my last photos, when I heard a different and strange noise. When I looked up, I saw this hot air balloon (and then two more) popping up among the trees. I did not take the balloon ride, but it is one of the main attractions of this city in the South of Minas Gerais state, famous for its mineral waters.

Hello Alexandre,
There are many balloons on TE, but this photo is a bit different because there is only one of them. It makes the photo almost minimalistic. Just the balloon, which you placed well to the side, accompanied by two very different trees, everything seen against the perfectly clear sky. It's an elegant composition with very attractive colours.

A great shot of the balloon, it looks clear and sharp in the bright blue sky. The trees were also well included and nicely lit by the sunshine.

Una magn凬ica composicion con este globo aerostatico que has capta con gran detalle, sus colores destacan muy bien en el limpio azul del cielo, las copas de los arboles, completan muy bien la imagen.
Una magn凬ica gama de colores, en unos tonos, muy atrayentes.

I've often dreamed of a balloon flight but have never made one.
It must be wonderful to see the landscape from that height and to fly over it at a not too high speed.
Looking up, it seemed to be a very beautiful day. For the balloonists also the visibility will have been excellent.
The balloon is nicely placed on the picture.

one of the things that I enjoy about photography is how subjects in the same frame can be so opposite. For example here, the balloon is so small, yet we know in real life its HUGE. and the tree branches look so large but in reality they're so small :) False perspectives :)

I have taken 2 balloon rides, one at Cappadocia in Turkey and the other over the Nile River from Luxor, both at sunrise, which is generally the least windy time of day and thus the safest. Tfs!

Por qu� no ? En lugar de un p疔aro, tienes un elemento volador de todos modos, y hermoso tambi駭: azul contra azul con un poco de color de las alas :-)
Esta imagme parece muy tranquila, y creo que puedo ver un peque p疔aro en la parte superior del 疵bol sin hojas :-)
