The Church of S縊 Francisco de Assis, is located in the historic center of the city of Diamantina (R. S縊 Francisco, s/n (Historical Center) � Downtown), Minas Gerais. The beginning of the construction of the church dates back to 1766, with the works considered as having been completed at the end of 1830. It is a Baroque construction with decorative elements in Rococo, being one of the landmarks of Minas Gerais architecture at the time. The Church was listed by IPHAN in 1949.

O in兤io da constru鈬o da igreja data do ano de 1766, sendo as obras consideradas como conclu冝as no final de 1830. ﾉ uma constru鈬o barroca com elementos decorativos em rococ�, sendo um dos marcos da arquitetura mineira da 駱oca. A Igreja foi tombada pelo Iphan no ano de 1949.

Hello Ricardo,
Only the big clock somehow disturbs the impression of this otherwise exceptionally pretty little church. The view is still beautiful, including what we see of the valley below the town and the distant hills. The photo is well composed, with the palms balancing the building, and you had a very good light.

Hi Ricardo,
This is such a beautiful composition. The church is already asymmetric and you have also placed it off the centre so the effect is very eye pleasing. The palm trees and the view further to the hills is very impressive.
The little door to the left sem to go well with the color of the sky.
