Train at Balsa Nova, a photo from Parana, South

Photographer's Note

I took this picture from a bridge over the railroad of Balsa Nova. A few days ago I'd posted another view captured from the same bridge. This time, I use a little bit from the zoom to catch the church and I have the train, making something different from the exactly same point of view. Hope you like it.

Hello Jose or Zeca,
Under a clouded sky the church and the train are bathing in the sunlight which makes this picture very beautiful, together with the nice Fall colours.
The composition is also good. The clouds seem to come from the right corner, the direction in which te train is going.

Beautiful lighting with nice natural colours and looks really sharp for f/4. Like the perspective you have chosen with the train a good focal point to your composition. Very good highlight detail also in the church.

Que magn凬ica composi鈬o triangular! O templo sobranceia o quadro no ter輟 esquerdo e no v駻tice de um tri穗gulo que tem por base a linha f駻rea em diagonal. Bem din穃ico o recorte dela, por sinal. As linhas estriadas no altocumulus stratiformis se harmonizam bem com a linha da copa das 疵vores e da ferrovia; os azuis e ciano do c騏, com os ocres de outono no primeiro plano. A luz est� excelente! Cada arvorezinha e poste parece ter sido pintado de t縊 bem entrosados que est縊. Parab駭s! S� fiquei com a ligeira impress縊 de um pequeno tilt, mas pode ser desorienta鈬o pelo fato de n縊 se ver a linha do horizonte.

Hello Zeca, Nice clear shot with excellent colour & contrast. Good composition with the partial train in FG & the almost white church the main element of interest contrasting with the blue cloudy sky.

Of course May is in autumn south of the Equator, which explains the lovely colours of the foliage. You also have lovely golden light. This composition works extremely well with the church on one of the "magic spots" and the train on a diagonal. Perfectly timed too, so there is still some space in the frame for the train to go into. I am wondering why f4? The extremely fast speed would allow lots of leeway.

The train adds a good feature to this nice view under a warm sun with a pleasant composition in diagonal. Color of train blends nicely with the surrounding tone. I can see why you feature the church prominently in bright sun.

Muito bonita Zeca. A tua aten鈬o com a luz � algo que me encanta. Tu procuras fotografar sempre na melhor hora e isso nota-se nas tuas fotos. Tal como aqui, esta luz quente empresta grande poesia a este lugar. A composi鈬o � excelente, com a igreja no lugar certo e o comboio a preencher grande parte da imagem em baixo. Muito boa mesmo.

Gostei muit﨎simo desta foto! A composi鈬o est� muito bonita com a igreja de um lado e o trem... l� vai ele...
A nitidez est� perfeita em todos os pontos e, al駑 disso, o caminho de ferro, nessa diagonal, aumentou bastante a profundidade, que est� acentuada. Gosto dessa luz dourada tamb駑. Uma imagem muito bem realizada, como � de seu costume.

hi Zeca,
fantastic light, I like a lot how it adds a golden tone to all colours. the combination of the train and the church is quite interesting, especially how they both symbolise a different kind of jorney. the composition with the strong diagonal works well, but I keep admiring the light, and how it illuminates the white walls of the church. I guess I'll have to go to Brazil soon to see this beautiful light with my own eyes :) excellent work, my compliments.
