Besides the wonderful Caribbean beaches, the Tayrona National Park is also an excellent place for bird watching. Around 350 bird species can be found in the park, as this heron shown on the photo.

Once upon a time... I had more patience to go for birds photography. Saw a similar specie of Heron like you show here. One black/grey and another with extraordinary camouflage-colors of brown, same as the rocks on this beach.
Fine caught the moment.

nice the view of the bird as watching in the Tayrona National park.If the bird or the rock had different colours the contrast between then would was much better.

The bird is beautiful and is well captured in this perfect position. Even more I am impressed by the rocks behind it and their strange but beautiful "camouflage" colours. They look amazing and make a great contribution to this fine photo.

Ola Gervaso What a singular way of standing on only one leg!
Its color is well assorted to the natural environment for a pleasing soft ensemble. Considering that it is perched on a beach at low tide, you could also have titled "Fish watching"!! Abra輟s. Robert

Excellent photo of this bird and the smaller and darker one in the background. The large, reddish rocks form the perfect background. The composition is very good too.

Una composici espectacular y hermosa, tanto por lo bien captada que esta la garza, como por los elementos captados a su alrededor, como las dos grandes rocas de atr疽 y el tronco seco donde esta subida, todo conforma un todo fant疽tico.

Hello Alexandre,

Bird watching is a great way to spend some quiet time. I love to watch what appears in my garden and get quite excited if something very unusual appears.
Besides getting a sharp photograph of the heron, you have also managed an extremely good composition, the bird having lots of space into which it can stare. It is set against an interesting b/g of rocks, with a great perch, created by the dead tree.

I like the way you composed this scene in a tight frame with overlapping natural elements that represent the bird's habitat and, at the same time, look like an artistic installation. I like the salmon pink colour of the rocks and the banded onyx like patterns. The bird makes an ideal focal point. Then we see the less conpicuous black bird too. Tfs!

Hello Alexandre,I like the point of view where the heron is backed by those very interesting coloured rocks.The dead wood in the fg offers a contrast in texture, and then we have the top framed by the bright green vegetation, which puts the whole scene into context.
