Photographer's Note

Tarabita is a primitive cable car used in the mountainous regions of the Andes. In the lack of bridges, it was used for crossing the rivers. It was about to disappear as a means of transportation, among other reasons, for the insecurity. But in the recent years it has been reactivated for touristic purposes.

Scary ride but an intriguing advanture for tourists.
must be a nice landscape seen while crosing the river bellow.
Fine view in contrast to the rocky slopes, the crevice has excelenty depth while looking into it. Photojob well done.

nice the view of this primitive cable car that some decades ago was the main transportation between the edges of a gorge.A good reportage shot from the area,as we can see the right edge with the kiosk on the foreground to makes the image more effective.

Muy interesante y atractiva composici, con este tipo de teleferico primitivo, espero que adem疽 de ponerlo de moda como atractivo tur﨎tico, tambi駭 se tenga en cuenta la seguridad, yo no se si me atrever僘, espero tu disfrutaras en el, si llegaste a subir. Impresionantes paredes de piedra, el verde de los arbustos pone un bonito toque de color.
Muy eficaz colorido, que destaca los detalles de la imagen.
Una buena gestion, tanto de la luminosidad, como de la nitidez.

I just hope that the cable is strong enough and well maintained, I'd hate to see those people falling several hundred feet to the bottom of the gorge. Nice captured with good pov and sharp details. Well done, tfs.

Having vertigo, your cable car suspended high above the landscape, would create fear but also admiration of the scenic ride.
Would be fun to photograph from the cable car.

So few images from Equador so tfs this one. The flying fox, as they are called in Australia, makes a great focal point and center of interest. The rushing river looks like certain death for anyone swept along in the fast current. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs.

I am surprised that tourists would still get inside this scary looking cable car! Hopefully this one is strong enough to support them and get them safely back to the ground. The green color jumps out against the stony background. I would make one small suggestion for this photo: there seems to be a small piece of something in the lower left corner. It would help the composition to crop that out. :-)

As you said below the old cable car appears so flimsy, compared to the rocky chasm where flows a turbid river, that my first thought was for a song title by Simon and Garfunkel:
'Bridge over troubled waters'.
Looks like an hot balloon ride without the balloon.
Thrilling view, indeed!
