Photographer's Note

Mi u selu imamo tu sreću da na početku sela izvire reka Ravanica.
Me嗾ani su pre dvadeset godina počeli da prave seoski vodovod nezavisno od op嗾ine kojoj pripadamo,Ćuprije.
Iz svog d枡pa smo izdvajali novac i sagradili vodovod koji snabdeva vodom oko 300 domaćinstava.
Sagrađeni su bazeni za akumulaciju vode i nalaze se ispod ove bele zgrade.
U zgradi su pumpe koje guraju vodu u vodovodni sistem.
Učinilo mi se da bih mogao, ovu svoju fotografiju u zimskim uslovima, i ovu priču da podelim sa vama dragi prijatelji.
Nadam se da nisam pogre喨o.

We in the village have been fortunate that at the beginning of the village flows the river Ravanica.
The villagers were twenty years ago started to make rural water system independent of the municipality to which we belong, Cuprija.
From our own pocket money,we built water system, that supplies water to about 300 households.
The pools for water accumulation are below the white building.
The In white building are the pumps that push water into the water system.
I thought I could, this a photograph in winter, and this story to share with you my dear friends.
I hope I'm not mistaken.

it is really a nice effort to built such constructive programmes in your locality. A nice capture though I think you should not include the lower part of this frame. Just a personal opinion. Anyway you managed the light very well and the colours are really contrasting. Very well done. Tfs.

Hello Sasha,

This is a beautiful winter scene and impressive pump house, so it's interesting to see the outdoors covered snow. It's effective for the shadow projected to the snow ground and blue color of the fence. The whole is balanced well by a good arrangement, too. It is independent-minded and is a very good thing with self-reliance hearing the fact which a village built the water system itself without depending on the municipality.

A superb Christmas card landscape all covered in snow. Good sharpness and excellent tonal range and colour saturation. I like the minimalist color and soft muted colours. This could easily pass as a black and white image. A homemade water distribution system is always better than no system at all! Tfs!

Hello Sasha I am a country boy too and I can remember when I was a kid my grandparents drawing water from the well located by the house and collecting rainwater in wood barrels from the gutters. So this installation you show with fine details constitutes a more modern source of procurement. Respect
