Totland Bay at Dusk, a photo from Isle of Wight, England

Photographer's Note

Totland Bay is a small bay on the NW corner of the Isle of Wight.
Its an amazing place in the summer with a beach bar and fine pale coloured sands that reminds me of somewhere more tropical!
The pier is located at the Northern end of the beach, and is quite a popular photo spot.

I used an ND8 Graduated filter

Amazing color and equally good composition. The sharpness and the exposure are worth praising too. You composition manages the eyes to follow the distance horizon. Great shot.

A strong compositon, action in the rocks coming to you, the pier, vreating a line that takes us to the fiery sky, where the clouds are fast moving, echoing the action down below.
What speed did you get, a few seconds? just enough anyway to created a good mood.

you have a distinctive style and I must say it one that I envy. I love the drama you inject into your shots - a true talent. This is a wonderful image with all the motion of the sea just drawing you in and of course the amazing colours of the sunset. Perfect POV and composition and control of all the elements that make it such a striking and impressive image. Superb!

Hi jamie,

There are in TE some hidden gems, this is one of them. Rather strong pp, but the result is amazing. I like the colours, composition, fabulous sky and impressive view of the sea. Incredible sharpness. Wonderful picture, I like it very much.
