Not far from Piazza del Duomo stands the old medieval quarter, preserved almost intact, San Pellegrino: here we find many homes with profferlo, the stair-case typical of Viterbo.

Anche questa � assolutamente bella e ha un taglio piacevole. La luce gi� in fondo dopo il secondo arco cattura l'occhio.

J'aime beaucoup cet atmosph鑽e sombre des ruelles italiennes. Les arches sont superbes et la pierre est d'une belle texture. J'aime beaucoup le cadrage.

The composition and the lighting here are just superb.

There are three people in this shot - the man in the far distance standing against the bright light, the man in the middle distance in relative shade, and you, the photographer, standing in the darkest shade. All in an almost straight line which draws the eye beautifully into the picture.

I love the detail and textures on either side - the two doorways and the rough stone of the walls and steps.

Beautiful colours, perfect lighting and great sharpness.

Hi Silvio
A nicely balance exposed between dark and bright areas. The blend of highlights and shadows have come out nicely with bags of atmosphere and mood. I like the viewpoint through the archway connecting to further view in the far end. Good detail, colors, dof and some highlights in shadow areas of the upper frame, making the most of the angle and arch leading the eyes. Presence of the figs adds persperctive and proportion to this shot. Great work, Congrats

This may be one of your best photos from a quality standpoint.
its always difficult to correctly expose dark and light areas.
The arch is another great visual too, so is the lonely man and the lonely shadow figure way back in the scene.
Alot to like with this one.

Dire a te che una foto � tra le migliori, � un'iperbole.
Tra migliaia di vari generi e "specie" � come vantare i colori di una farfalla.
Ma penso che alcune siano significative.
Una "retrospettiva" � possibile ed in una monografia la pubblicherei.
I contenuti sono evidenti, basti pensare che si potrebbe ricavare scorporando un trittico, e sicuramente due foto di successo dividendola in due.
