Photographer's Note

Here we can see another part of the Chellah necropolis, this is an abandoned mosque build many centuries ago, storks made nests in every top of this area. You can see the ramparts of Chellah in the background. How I told you before, this was the site of a Roman town that was abandoned and in its area was build a necropolis surrounded by ramparts in 13th century.

Temos aqui outra parte da Chellah, aqui vemos uma mesquita abandonada, erguida muitos s馗ulos atr疽, agora as cegonhas erguem ninhos em cada topo das ru匤as. Ao fundo podem ver as muralhas que rodeiam a Chellah. Como j� disse anteriormente, esta 疵ea era uma cidade romana que foi abandonada e cujo terreno virou uma necrole, rodeada de muralhas no s馗ulo 13.

The tower on the left-centre is amazing with the nest of the storks. Were they still there in mid-October last year?

Ola Jorge,
nice the view from this part of Chellah necropolis,with in ruins Mosque to dominates the image.The only construction that remind us the existence of the Mosque is the Minaret place in the proper point in the frame.The nests of pelicans are so noticeable.

The old ruins are an attractive place for the storks, as I see abig nest on right side atop an old culumn.

Another fine observation captured from the site. The pillars with intricate design looks intact from this ruin.
