Kilchurn Castle, a photo from Argyll and Bute, Scotland

Photographer's Note

Another fantastic Scottish location, the Kilchurn Castle. The weather and resulting light were not in my favour, it was an overcast and dull day. On the bright side of things, the light was atleast very soft... I wanted to include the plants in the fg to give some depth to the scene. I would love to hear your comments on this.

I like the fact that you jave included the plants in the foreground, I think this sort of balances the composition rather than give it depth.
Would have liked to see a larger picture though. Please post more of this amazing castle.

Hi Jarmo,

Lovely pov and a very nice subject. I am afraid you have blown the sky. It is not that is dull but it is badly overexposed. If i were you I would go back early in the morning or late afternoon and make sure to keep those highlights in check. Also this shot would look 1000 times better if the sky was a bit more dramatic.
