Photographer's Note

A thunderstorm rolls into the Yellowstone River valley from the Beartooth Mountains to the south. The storm didn't produce a tornado but did have hail. Fortunately the wheat had been harvest a few days before.

A strong PP , here , but I like the effect . The contrast between golden fields and stormy sky is fantastic . Excellent palacement of the track and the post in the composition .

Hello Giovanni,

Happy for the farmer that his wheat was harvested.
The last days was Belgiulm also the source of big thunderstorms.
You chose a very well angle with the road in the corner these leads us to the dark clouds in background.
Excellent composition with very nice colors. TFS.

I just love the atmospheric conditions in here, the violent clouds and the vast landscape. In my humble opinion, I'd love to see this scenery as natural as possible as I prefer images with minimal processing. Nonetheless, great capture on such attractive phenomena. TFS!

Wow! That looks like a serious storm brewing! I'm glad that there were no destructive twisters, & only hail, hopefully not large enough to punch through roofs & windows. A fantastic warm vs cold color contrast between the blue black clouds & sunlit, yellow red fg. Good sharpness & saturation. Tfs!

Is a nice shot of all these clouds and the golden fields. I think the photo is high saturated but the view and the clouds touching the field in horizon is nice. nice shot

I like a good sky, and this is one helleva good sky ! We dont often skies quite like this in UK, if ever, so it is quite special to see this. I can imagine though how the air must hasve felt !
This is an area I would love to see for real, for sure.
