This area looks adventurous. This area was adventurous. On the same evening I had an encounter with a giant grizzly bear not even a kilometer away from there. And I was not sitting in a car this time. In some distance behind these low trees runs an about 50-60 meter wide, but shallow river. I stood on the shore and wanted to take a picture. Suddenly the bear came on the other side of the river down a hill. It ran to the water, then stood up on two legs. The bear stood there a moment in this posture, then it disappeared into the undergrowth. I was not able to take a photo, could not move at this moment. The distance between me and the bear was only about sixty meters. If the distance is shorter than 100 m, it can be dangerous. Then the bear attacks with high probability, say experts.

Good morning Peter,
nice the view of the tent in this landscape view and and near the forest.The existance of the bear so near to you would was a great surpise as dangerous too for you.
I like the light and the colour management of the scene as the informative note.

Hello Peter,

For a scanned picture very well done.
A little strip landscape with the forest and the mountains in background.
The tent is a nice eye catcher in centre of the picture.
Sharpness and clarity make these picture attractive.

An adventurous wildernass, and what a brave photographer you are, Peter.
The story about the bear soinds like a great miss - but I guess how the feel when you might have to watch for a big bear, not thinking of a picture. Nice taken the lone tent in the green willow, and the mountains far beyong the forest made a "frame" to the scenery collected.
