Photographer's Note

Small boats on one of the quais of the vieux port (old port) of Marseille during one of my morning walks there. A tranquil sea makes the effect of the morning light even more sentimental. Here tried to include a part of the city and not focus only on the boats in order to bring out a feeling that the port and the city itself is one! For once I decided not to encapture the prows of the boats and photograph the sterns instead, trying to give an "I am back home" impression.

A small hommage to the memory of Jean-Claude Izzo, a great marseillais writer.

Just want to wish you and your family a happy and healthy 2014.

Beautiful scene of this busy harbor with many boats. what I love is the reflections of the boats.
