The Embassy of the United States of America is located on MacKenzie Avenue, facing Major's Hill Park and the southwest, in downtown Ottawa. It was dedicated October 8, 1999 by then President Bill Clinton. This view is from street level near the entrance to Major's Hill Park and the northwest. At the time, German Chancellor Angela Merkel was in town for a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper. Yes, that is the German flag (black, red, yellow).
