Photographer's Note

Wiener Rathaus (also Neues Rathaus) is the city hall of Vienna, located on Rathausplatz in the Innere Stadt district. Constructed from 1872 to 1883 in a Neo-Gothic style according to plans designed by Friedrich von Schmidt, it houses the office of the Mayor of Vienna as well as the chambers of the city council and Vienna Landtag diet.
The design of the richly adorned facade is modelled on the Gothic architecture of Flemish and Brabant secular buildings like the Brussels Town Hall. It features five towers including the central tower with a height of 98 m (322 ft)./wiki/

Great pov and fine light balance in this picture, Piotr. The line of black created by the lamps is terrific and I also like the presence of the sitting legs near the end. Good depth and sharpness!

Dear Piotr,

This is a kind of photography I like (next to the Gertesquian nothing special street photos). The converting lines create a good sense of depth, while the leg of the random tourist breaks the somehow monotonous nature of these arcades.

You have done a fine job of capturing the exquisite details of the city hall and composing them in such a way that the repeating pillars, arches and suspended lamps create a wonderful sense of perspective. We cannot help but travel down the polished tiles until we surprisingly meet a pair of legs!

Good morning Piotr,
Excellent effect with the multi-arches arcade and its lamp-posts hang in juxtaposition.
The lone person sitting on the far side gave yet a good dimension to the depth.

A really nice view and perspective down the hallway of the city hall. I really like the repetition of all the columns, their decorative elements, and the large chandeliers. The light is very well handled too.

Hello Piotr,
The fine vaults and oilers and the lamps give excellent depth to this photo which also has a very nice light. Near the far end we see parts of two persons. I don't know if you intended to include them, but to me they provide a nice detail which makes this impressive corridor less majestic and more human.

J'aime beaucoup ce genre de composition. L'accumulation des arches apporte beaucoup de profondeur. La lumi鑽e est sublime et j'aime beaucoup le personnage assis au bout du corridor.

Smooth flow of receding verticals and curves of the imposing structure strengthening the composition which makes it look so majestic and exquisite. Full marks for exposure too with subtle shades and shadows, along with excellent touch of human presence drawing one in to explore deeper....
