Saint Malo, a photo from Bretagne, West

Photographer's Note

Those big logs of woods are implanted in the sand of a beach in Saint Malo. I suppose that the aim is to stop the sand to go away from the beach or to stop the sea to destroy the coast. Anybody knows?

Did you take this in landscape too? I think showing more of the "fence" would be nice.
The sky is gorgeous though and the textures and shadows are very asthetically pleasing.

Une jolie photo avec plusieurs plans successifs bien nets gr稍e � une bonne mise au point, une vitesse rapide et le bon choix de l'ouverture du diaphragme. La lumi鑽e encore tendre du matin permet un rendu des d騁ails dans les parties sombres et claires de la photo. Un petit b駑ol peut-黎re : la ligne d'horizon que j'aurai positonn馥 selon la r鑒le des tiers...

Hi Estelle,

I think Kelly is correct in her observation on including more of the pilings. The blue of the sky is pretty but without much interest factor as a field of color by itself. I wonder how it might have looked to get down low and take a close up of the beautiful gnarled textures of the pilings with that lovely blue as a backdrop?
