Intro: Hi!

Welcome on my little spot on TrekEarth. My name is Florian Smit, and I'm 23 years old. I'm living in Aarhus, the second largest city of Denmark. I currently in masters of Geology at Aarhus University.

I was always interested in nature and landscapes since I was a little boy. I'm also quit a handyman in electronics. I combined these two about 7 years ago, by buying a videocamera. But I liked more composing one picture instead of a movie. So I after using an analog camera I decided to go digital. The Kodak worked fine, but I wanted to go further in photography. Therefor I bought the Canon 350D. I now also bought the Sony DSC-HX9V, which is easier to take along. I also have got a analog TLR (Seagull 4A-103) with 120 mm film. Results from this camera will appear in the coming months, since I just started out in this new world of analog photography.

I now have two lenses with my Canon, the standard lens (18-55mm) and a telelens(75-300mm). This will be my standard equipment during my photoshooting.

The most pictures I upload are from my holidays. But you also will find some pictures from around my place. Within my study of geology, fieldwork is a very important part. You have to use the theory you learned and use it for real in the field. This makes me look at a analytical way towards landscapes, and I will try to give you some geological information in the photo notes.
