Yosemite National Park, in the Western United States, spans eastern portions of Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera counties in the central, eastern portion of California, in the area called the High Sierras. The park spans an area of about 1,190 sq. miles and is best known for its waterfalls. It's a gorgeous wilderness area filled with granite domes, lakes, trails, forests, and rivers.
